I am moving and I am scared of meeting new people in school...?

I am moving to San Diego in a few months... And I am freaking out. Are people nice in Elementary School in San Diego? Im really shy, and I hate to label myself but I am Emo, and that sounds completely poserish but, can't hide the truth. What type of guys are their in that City in 6th grade?
